MEN OF ACTION MINISTRY
Men of Action is a group of men who want to put their faith to work. We believe serving others is one of the best ways to show the love of Christ, and we roll up our sleeves to meet real needs in our church and our community. Whether you’re handy with tools or just willing to help, we’d love to have you join us.
HOW IT STARTED
On Saturday, January 25, 2014, a group of men from Summersett Baptist Church met in the Fellowship Hall. They wanted to start a men’s group modeled after our women’s WMU, and that morning Men of Action was born.
WHAT WE DO
Since then, our men have taken on a wide range of projects, including:
- Building handicap ramps
- Repairing storage buildings
- Making minor home repairs
- Giving financial gifts to God’s Pit Crew
- Running an aluminum can recycling program
- Annual Sportsman's Meal
We meet once a month on Monday at 7:00 PM. Each meeting starts with dinner, followed by our business meeting and often a guest speaker on a topic of interest. Come for the food, stay for the fellowship, and find a way to serve!
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
James 2:18
